Appendix (i) One: HealthCare Department

  • Job Title: Community Health Extension Worker / Nursing Officer
  • Location: Christian Orphanage Home Gombe.
  • Employment Type: Full-time
  • Employment Period: Six months

Job Description:

Essentially responsible for restoring patient’s optimum health. The Officer is to perform health assessments, prescribe medication, create treatment plans and provide health and wellness advice to patients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, implementing, and administering health programs and illness prevention activities to ensure that Children, widows, partners and staff adopt healthy lifestyle and prevent disease.
  • Assist in the implementation of policies/guidelines and management protocols for the best practice in the Dispensary or Clinic.
  • Assist in planning and overseeing all patient care.
  • Liaise with HOD Monitoring and Evaluation in the provision of clinical training and opportunities to staff for development.
  • Ensure compliance to legal guidelines, internal policies, and quality standards requirements.
  • Performs minor surgical procedures commensurate with surgical competency as directed by the HOD.
  • Participate in prompt emergency medical response in order to render care and prevent disease and injury.
  • Respecting the privacy, dignity, needs and beliefs of patients, dependents, and colleagues.
  • Committed to lifelong learning and audit to ensure evidence-based practice and maintenance of patient safety and quality standards.
  • Providing comprehensive general medical services as directed by the HOD.
  • Serves and protects the Dispensary community by adhering to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and Safe Care standards.
  • Attend to all emergencies and unforeseen contingencies.
  • Assist in coordinating Medical outreaches, clinic activities including environmental safety.
  • Assist in coordinating all clinical activities including nursing, pharmacy and Laboratory.
  • Involvement in quality improvement program in Care Point Center.
  • Any other requirements or duties that may be assigned by HOD.

Job Requirements:

  • Certified and licensed Community Health Extension worker or Nursing officer, will be appreciated with 2-5 years experience.
  • Professional experience in health care management.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in screening, diagnostic procedures and clinical supervision and program management.
  • Excellent time management with good interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in HIV/TB and Malnutrition care.
  • Pediatric Oriented with excellent counseling skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of standards and regulations for the clinical field
  • Proficient in MS Office and computer systems (e.g. patient management software) will be appreciated
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills, team building skills.
  • Aptitude in resolving issues and conflicts.

Appendix (ii) Two: Research & Finance Department

  • Job Title: ICT / Account Assistant Officer
  • Location: Gombe.
  • Employment Type: Full-time
  • Employment Period: 2years Probation
  • Monthly Salary: GL12/1 (N23,107.5)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage technology services that meet operational requirements in designated area(s) of the organization.
  • Serves as the lead ICT liaison with senior administration, Centers, staff and students in designated area(s) to understand and interpret client or partners needs at a division level and to collaborate across lines in meeting those needs.
  • Directs and coordinates the local implementation of CNECOF ICT operations, projects, and programs, ensuring alignment of ICT services with the business needs of the area(s) and adherence to established project management principles and best management practices.
  • Provides technical leadership on a variety of highly specialized project-related activities requiring expertise in specific technical areas for core information technology systems and services.
  • Reviews vendor contracts and coordinates ICT purchases (hardware, software and services) to ensure effective deployment of solutions aligned with user needs.
  • Delivers appropriate personnel actions and educational and training programs to ensure high quality professional staff performance in the area(s) of oversight.
  • Participates in the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, objectives, short- and long-range ICT planning, with an emphasis on advocating for the needs of the area(s) supported; implements tracking and evaluation programs to assist in accomplishment of established goals.
  • Participates in the documentation and implementation of policies and standard operating procedures consistent with those of the CNECOF to ensure effective operation of an organization.
  • Participates in development of ICT Service Catalog offerings, Service Level Agreements, and Operating Level Agreements consistent with the needs of the organization.
  • Participates as a member of the ICT management team in planning, problem resolution, and reviewing department performance.
  • Maintains currency of knowledge with respect to relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, HND, ND and/or at least 5 years of progressively responsible work experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the current and developing strategic information requirements of a major research organization.
  • Knowledge of current trends and developments in information technology.
  • Knowledge of financial/business reporting and analysis techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Strategic planning and advanced leadership skills.
  • Ability to develop requests for and evaluate proposals in reference to leading-edge information services technology.
  • Ability to provide strategic guidance and counsel to clients in the assessment and development of existing and/or proposed systems.
